We love doing 3rd Birthday Parties. Ok, so this was not a typical 3 year old kids party. It was the Marquee Sydney at the Star 3rd birthday.
We had some fabulous personalised large balloons throughout the club. We sprayed them all white for extra impact. The Happy Bday around the bar was the first thing that guests saw as they entered the room. Big impact and a guaranteed great night coming up.
Obviously it isn't a celebration without Miss Australia, Richard Wilkins and some lovely ladies to cut the cake. Note the awesome photo "balloon backdrop"
We did a number of bunches to highlight the fact that this was a 3rd Birthday. We tried to replicate the cake design and colour with the number 3. Having everything matching adds to the atmosphere of elegance andsophistication.
...speaking of elegance and sophistication...!!.
Here is a full shot of the media wall . Our "piece de resistance". As with Marquee, I am happy to design an effect that will suit the needs of your celebration or launch. Here I did the large number 3 and 6 large round balloons with silk draping spilling down to the floor. We couldn't find a celebrity for this shot, so I had to pretend. Good news - I'm not giving up my day job!! Enjoy!!

X Factor and Wharf4Ward
As the stars were beginning their rehearsal at 9am, we were packing up and leaving. Mission accomplished. So let's back track a few hours.....
The Sony Foundation were raising money for You Can - the Youth Cancer organisation. Woolloomooloo Wharf was the place. Wharf4Ward was the event name
We had been given the challenge of transforming the wharf from drab to dazzling for the event. Colour, colour, colour was the theme. Something to WOW the rich and famous and encourage them to dig deep. As you can see from these pictures, we did not disappoint.
We created 3mtr tall topiary towers with a 3' balloon topper with the Sony Foundation logo printed on it. Then 300 x 16" balloons tied in lots of three along the piers and rails. The X Factor contestants were on hand, and any X Factor Fans would have seen our fantastic balloons on the short clip they did of the Wharf4Ward event on the show a week ago.
As you can see our 2.30am start did the job. Woolloomooloo Wharf was looking stunning by 9am. The guests arrived by midday and a good time was had by all. Lots of money was raised and it was all because of the balloons!!!! We had created the X Factor !!!
...OK, the fact that Jessica Mauboy and the Sapphires were performing may have helped a bit too !!!

A Valentines Tale - world's fastest balloon drop
So it's Valentines Day and I am on my way out of the city, having finished my last job at 11.30am. The mobile phone rings. "I am calling on behalf of Rod Stewart. Mr Stewart has just remembered it is Valentines Day and would like 2,000 red and white balloons to drop on the audience at tonight's concert. Can you get it all done and finished by 6pm tonight." "Are you fu#*%ng joking" was my response. Further words were exchanged between myself and the caller. Anyway I agreed to do it.

I called Alicia at the office and then called Wendy and Ian to come in to the office ASAP. We assembled the equipment, sourced another 600 balloons and arrived back at the Entertainment Centre just before 1pm. 5 hours to go. 2,000 balloons and 4 MAD balloonies. We got stuck in and went like the clappers.

Here is 'Mr Stewart' doing his sound check while we are rigging the nets. Don't you love the way people address stars using their formal name....

Nets in ceiling and job completed by 5pm. Yes indeed, we were 1 hour ahead of schedule. Absolutely sensational effort by my MAD team of Ian, Alicia and Wendy. A big thanks to Maureen Egan of Balloon Elegance who came back to the Ent. Centre to release the balloons with me at 10pm.

Personalised Stars & Celebrities
I was called in by Parramatta City Library to design something for their new automated loaning system. There new "fast lane checkout" was being rolled out and they wanted something with a racing theme that would stand out in all the libraries. They were very happy with the racing masterbow ribbon on personalised stars, and we installed these in all 5 of the libraries in the council area.

Now that the new Masterchef series is underway, I had better put up my brush with fame. While installing the personalised columns at the Parramatta Library, Jimmy from Masterchef 2010 walked in. He was in the area for the local Indian festival - Parramasala - and can I say, is one of the nicest, most down-to-earth celebrities I have ever met.
